Concerning his forthcoming visit, reporting that Lisbeth Kistner died, and that Julius, seriously ill, is the only survivor of the whole family, saying that the "Lind-Gemahl" [i.e. Otto Goldschmidt] proved to be a "miserabler Dirigent"--He took [Mendelssohn's] Melusine overture at an unbearably slow tempo--but that [Beethoven's] Ninth Symphony, under [Julius] Stockhausen, was performed well, mentioning Fürstenau, etc.
